Bug Corner Working Party

bug-corner-2.jpg

On 24th of March in lovely sunshine the PTA members, teachers, parents and even some of the children got together to start creating the impresive Ashbrook House School Bug Corner. The day was sunny and we managed to get a great deal done. While some were clearing the Bug garden area of weeds, mud old bricks, old concrete and stone flags others got on with digging the pond. Mr F sawed and drilled, put up the boxes and trellis and then went on the fix the bugs to the wall. Once the pond was in and the gravel down, Miss W and her "team" got creative with logs soil, moss plants (and of course bugs). Even the children helped, some as young a 5, with weeding and scooping until the area was a finished as it could be that day.

A masive thanks to everyone who came whether it was to dig, weed, fix or provide refreshments!

Bring on the next working party - it really was a lot of fun!

Chick here for the slide show!
