Carols by Candlelight

For the first time in many years the carols were held out side and a great time was had by all. There were carols and songs traditional and fun, the children sang out and everyone joined in. At half time the PTA and teachers wheeled out mice pies for all, mulled wine for the grown ups and hot chocolate for the children. The raffle prizes were all wrapped up and perfect for christmas.

The second half was as good as the first and ended with a Ashbrooke tradition with the children singing about the real meaning of Christmas. To round off the evening Gill Porter our PTA chairperson handed out the prizes for the best festive hat, see the photo above for the amazing winners.

The event also raised almost £200 for the school to pay for the many good things that go to making the children's experience at Ashbrooke that much better.
